Kodavere language and mind in the calendar!
Midsummer's Day isn't here yet, but we're already in 2026.
But for a very special reason!
The Kodavere calendar has been published.
The calendar was published by the Kodavere Heritage Centre with the support of the Local Initiative Programme. It was put together by Elina Kalme, Helgi Vaga and Ergo-Hart Västrik. The compiler of the Kodavere verses published in the calendar and the dialect editor is Ann Kilk. The design was made by Martin Nurm (Seri Disain OÜ).
The calendar uses photos from the collections of the Assikvere Educational Society, the Estonian History Museum, the Estonian Literary Museum, the Estonian National Museum, the Omedu Village Society, the National Archives, the Finnish Museums Board and private individuals. We would like to thank Jüri Bender, Jaan Kalme, Laine Kangro and Tõnis Türna for their help in finding and captioning the photos.
