Almost a thousand years ago, there lived a man named Grettir Asmundripoeg on the island of Iceland. He was called Strongman because he was stronger than anyone his age. In his youth, Grettir was lazy and lazy, the “black sheep” of the family, who did not listen to his father and did not want to do farm work. Already at an early age, he was expelled from the country for killing, but eleven years later he was declared an outlaw – this time without reason. For the rest of his life — nineteen years — he had to be imprisoned in the earth and languished in tundra huts, caves and on a lonely island, despised and abandoned by people, because he was destined by fate to be unhappy, because “one thing is bravery, another is how you live lucky”.
